  • ... Yet Constellation truly is stunning to behold: Rapace’s spacewalk, for instance, features better special effects than any Marvel movie in the last 10 years...

    Ed Power The Telegraph
  • "The opening episodes feature some of the best zero-G wire work put to screen in recent years. It doesn't look like effortless CGI; you can feel the heavy, deliberate momentum of the bodies in space, creating a masterclass in practical action design."

    Chase Hutchinson Collider
  • The technical craft on display during the weightless sequences is exceptional. The way the characters drift, push off surfaces, and navigate the crisis inside the ISS shows a mastery of practical stunt rigging and physics that keeps the high-stakes action completely grounded in reality.

    Max Covill Roger Ebert
  • "The zero-gravity effects inside the International Space Station are seamlessly executed, making the physical reality of space travel feel immediate, claustrophobic, and entirely believable."

    Angie Han Hollywood Reporter
  • The massive production at Germany's Studio Babelsberg relies heavily on brilliant special effects coordination, utilizing custom camera platforms and microgravity simulator harnesses for weightlessness. The sheer technical craft behind these practical stunts is compelling and a marvel to watch.

    Susan Granger AWFJ
  • To sell the ease of being weightless is actually quite hard. [...] The series avoids the typical 'superman' floating tropes, relying instead on intricate, coordinated choreography across the stunt and effects departments to capture the most authentic way to move in zero gravity.

THE LAZARUS PROJECT

Action Design für Sky’s The Lazarus Project

  • The Lazarus Project is a big, robust sci-fi thriller with proper action scenes. Well-directed shoot-outs, car chases, punch-ups, sniper attacks and on-foot pursuits… the action is good, meaty and regularly delivered. It’s pacy and exhilarating without suffering from loud, bangy attention deficit disorder. The dynamic range from quiet moments to loud, impressive set pieces is handled well.

    Louisa Mellor Den of Geek
  • "..The Lazarus Project has a bright concept behind it with satisfying bursts of action (think shootouts and international car chases)..."

    Nicole Vassell The Independent
  • “The Lazarus Project transitioned from domestic drama to weird time-travel sci-fi flick to full stunt Mad Max car chase in less than an hour..."

    Carol Midgley The Times
  • What could be a slightly silly show with good gags and terrific stuntwork becomes something else, asking serious questions about a modern world that feels increasingly out of control.

    Gabriel Tate Finanzial Times
  • "... This show is fast and funny and furious and exciting — some of those stunt sequences are worthy of a Bond film, they really are.."

    Steven Perkins what to watch
  • "Much of the first two episodes are relatively low-key, largely taking on the form of a relationship drama with a Groundhog Day twist before exploding into action scenes on a scale rarely seen on British TV."
